What is the deal with the Veggie Thing?

Ok, well since I get this question all the time, I have had great day dreaming sessions to formulate a coherent response.  It is an experiment conducted by Matt Winger and myself (signed contract) and I do it for these reasons:

a) Testing of self-control.  In setting a goal and trying to meet it, we are building character, endurance, and commitment.

b) Testing of value in eating no meat.  With all the information flying at us these days it is hard to tell what is truth without extensive research (and since we are lazy guys) we decided to go down the road of action instead of delving into the intellectual side of things (granted we have done some research).  We wantto look at physical effects to see if it is good for one’s body to eat no meat, as some people say.

c) Fasting.  While we are not trying to ‘kill two birds with one stone’ (or in this case three), it is
moves past just an issue of self control and experimentation, our goal is to do what is best for our bodies with the motivation of glorifying God.  Thus, in going off meat we are in a way fasting.

We are about a month into the vegetarian dealeo [sic], and things are going fairly well.  I miss the scrumptious taste of meat, not because I like meat (because I don’t particularly), but because meals become so bland, boring, and repetitive without meat.  Too much is eliminated from my diet and I am pushed to forcing down pasta after peanut butter sandwich, after potatoes, after pasta, after peanut butter sandwich…

Anyway, I think I have gotten the answer I am looking for already.  I won’t explain over The Voice, but if you want to come and talk to me and ask what I have learned, I would be happy to explain.
