Since 1996, the two original members John Cooper and Ben Cassica of Skillet have crossed a few different genres before sticking to metal around the time Alien Youth came out in 2001. Since then, Skillet has been the frontrunners on the Christian Metal scene. Although they have toured with secular bands like Three Days Grace, they continue to hold a strong witness to Christ. Their eighth studio album, Awake came out in August and it is a must-buy!
