Love Today?

What do they call Love Today?
As black and white fade to Grey?
Will all morals fade away?
What do they call love today?

A brand new toy, the latest game.
The sexy shirt, to put others to shame.
A million bucks, a brand new car
But in all these things, they won’t go far.

What do they call love today?
As cloth and metal will rot away?
How can these things love anyway?
Is money what they call love today?

The perfect abs, the largest breasts.
Huge muscles, and tanned silky chest.
They strut their stuff, and parade around.
But in a few years, will their looks be found?

What do they call love today?
As time makes beauty fade away.
As all thing, fade and wither away.
Is physical beauty what they call love today?

A boy meets girl, and together they wink.
Then off together, both of them slink.
A night of passion, fun and bliss
Does all life, just peak at this?

What do they call love today?
From the right path do they stray.
But claim it is their right play.
Is sex what they call Love today?

I know they’re wrong, but will they see?
No one would listen to one such as me.
Love isn’t, beauty, money or fun.
But alas they do not know were it all begun.

This is what I call Love today.
Two hands unite, till their old and grey.
Love starts to grow when one gives it away.
Willing to give more than one gets each day.
This is what I call love today.
Love for which I wait this day.
