Missions Dinner
by: Katelyn UngerOn October 11, a group of us went over to Janice Anderson’s apartment for a mission’s dinner and social. Everyone brought a little something for supper, which included two great lasagnas, soup, nachos, some Philippine specialties, perogies and much more. The deserts were also superb.
Two gentlemen from Cross Training Canada spoke to us about a program that has started up in Toronto and Calgary. A student has to have a few years of Bible school training under his or her belt. They will move to Toronto or Calgary, spend time in a church of their choice (with help from the staff of the program). The church should be linked to the country that the student will be going to the following semester. The first semester will also include training and ministry. During the second semester, the student will be allowed to choose a country that he or she feels the call to go to. There, they will be apart of a ministry and much more. You can get up to thirty credits from this one year program, and a whole bunch of memories. If you have any questions about this, you can talk to Janice Anderson, myself (though my knowledge is limited in this department) or others that attended the missions dinner.
Once business had been taken care of, we had the privilege to watch Brandon Meyers’ mom, Marilyn being interviewed by 100 Huntley Street. What a great family!
It was a relaxing evening of stories and laughter; memories were shared and made. Thanks to Janice and everyone who made the food. God bless you all.
